The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project is the most important infrastructure project in Northern Virginia in a generation.  It will connect Loudoun County’s residents, businesses, employees, and visitors with Washington Dulles International Airport and our Nation’s Capital via the 23-mile Silver Line.

Dulles rail will attract businesses to Loudoun County and provide them with access to a region-wide labor pool.  It will give residents a safe and convenient choice of travel to work, and enhance Loudoun as a tourist destination.  Rail will support the continued expansion of passenger and air cargo service at Dulles Airport, one of two major economic drivers in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and serve Loudoun’s growing hospitality/tourism, research, and educational sectors.

Loudoun County has a 20-year history of planning for rail and over a decade ago approved two transit-oriented development projects at the Route 772 rail station.  More than 50 years ago, planners for Dulles Airport reserved the right of way for transit access in the median of the Dulles International Airport Access Highway.

The Rail To Loudoun Coalition is committed to keeping Loudoun County residents, business and community leaders well informed on the extraordinary benefits that this project will bring to our community.  In addition, the Rail To Loudoun Coalition is dedicated to ensuring our elected leaders here in Loudoun, in Richmond and in Washington, D.C. are made aware of the high level of support from their constituents for the completion of Phase 2 of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project in a timely, efficient and affordable manner.
